I’m teaching a workshop in Pescadero, Baja, Mexico. Join me for 8 days of adventure, culture and education. Learn to paint water and waves, take surfing lessons, dance at a party as I spin at Rancho Pescadero, go on a catamaran cruise though the Pacific Ocean to Santa Maria Beach,  spend a night at Los Milagros Hotel in Cabo San Lucas, collaborate on a painting we will donate to Baja kids’ soccer…and much more.  For more information go to www.ritchieacecamps.com.  Space is limited.

Absolutely Tree-riffic -Olympic Live Painting

This is a piece I painted Live in the Village Square during the Olympics.

I got to watch my friend Ashliegh McIvor win the Gold Medal for the womens skier cross... it was a very happy day for all of whistler.  Because she won gold that day I decided to put a little gold paint in the piece in her honour.

The painting is very textured and measures 16" x 24".
It's for sale for $425

The Aftermath

It's been a week now since the Olympics is over... seems like the town is just starting to get back to normal...but it feels different. The general level of Extreme Stokedness during the games has passed...I miss it I must say!  But we have the Paralympics coming up next week so hopefully we get the same buzz in the village again.

My Role as Artistsic Director of the Whistler portion of the Closing Ceremonies Athletes Parade has been keeping me very busy.  plans are coming along nicley now though and almost all the components are in place. It's been a big task with a small budget, but i am confident that it will be a great welcoming impact to the athletes.   I will have tonnes of photos from the event so keep your eyes peeled on the blog for what it was all about.

I am looking forward to having a few days off at the end of it all... but first I got hired to DJ the after party in the Athletes Village.. pretty sweet I must say!  Then it's time for a few days of surfing and no technology!

I will be having a big one day sale on any excess stock that I have left over from the games... more info will follow...just planting the seed now!

I'll also have some more imaes of the live pieces I did during the games online soon. The piece that I auctioned off for the Whistler Adaptive Sports Program raised $1800 for the cause... hooray!  Feels great to be able to help with such a worthy cause!

Thanks for the continued support!
